Charles, Vandora Henderson, and I returned from Liberia late yesterday evening around 5:30. Bobby Neptune and Joseph Lloyd returned as scheduled. As we were waiting to board our Delta flight to leave Liberia late Friday, it was announced the flight had been cancelled..e back tomorrow, same time same place. ACFI staff were more than gracious and cared for us an additional day. The Delta flight became an Air France flight and we left Liberia Saturday evening around 8:15PM. Yes, we are a bit tired, but once again God has allowed us to gain a better understanding of what the needs truly are for the Liberian deaf children, grown our relationship with ACFI staff and church members, and we made some additional, vital God-connections AND we spent some valuable time, precious time with 11 deaf children who loved the 2:1 ratio of attention since the other 45 deaf children were with family, friends, and even ACFI church members for the school break, a first for many! I am trying to catch up with communications, (currently using our 9-yr. old desktop) but my laptop is still in for repairs (it fell to the floor, shattering the screen into a million pieces, just before our leaving for Liberia).
