Charles’ Prayer 7/22/2013 Dear Father, I come to you in sincerity and truth as I perceive it and know it to be. Thank you for the life you have bequeathed upon me and empowered me to walk in the reality of. I am grateful that you have not chosen to give me what I’ve deserved, but have compassionately given me what you desired me to have. Lately I have truly come to recognize that all things come of thee. I must admit that lately I have become more sensitive as to how fragile life itself can be. I find myself struggling from time to time, putting my life in proper spiritual perspective. This is recurring more and more. There is a fear that oftentimes haunts me as I envision what is upon me and my life for the future. As I age, I am reminded that this mortal body is perishing. Along with its sentence comes the reality that transition is inevitable. Still, within me is the reassurance that your hand is mightily upon me. I don’t doubt you but I doubt my own ability outside of you. I am saying that I am going to need you to give me trust in your ability within me. Your word says that I can do all things through you that strengthen me. I am not sure that I understand all that this means. Please help me to comprehend exactly what you are saying in this scripture to me. I would also like for you to grant me favor, ability and discipline to do practical things you have assigned me. In the past I have separated spiritual from practical. Now I am coming to believe that the practical comes out from our spiritual alignment with you. In the past I kept seeing myself as two people (the spiritual and the carnal), instead of knowing that you have made the two one new man in Christ. I appreciate the fact that you are removing error from my present belief system. Please continue to give me the grace, humility and the courage to acknowledge and dismiss all things that hinders me from freely receiving all your truth to and for me. I repent of not assiduously seeking after you in things I knew were right. Thank you for washing me and cleansing me of this old way. Please heal me of all the hurt and pain that I have allowed through ignorance, disobedience, sin and pride to manifest in and out from me. Please create within me a pure heart and renew the right spirit within me. Teach me how to walk in your way. I recognize that I have your Word, however if your Spirit doesn’t guide me I can walk in my own comprehension of what I think your Word is saying. In all essence I am saying please help me to help myself. Father thank you for teaching me how you view from your perspective. I know that I am not you, but show me how I am to walk in what I view from you. Let me fully comprehend and understand what my responsibility is (1) toward you, (2) toward myself, (3) toward my family, (4) toward your body & ministry, (5) toward my job and (6) toward my community and mankind as a whole. As this understanding is given, please empower me to appropriate this in my life by your Spirit. Father, I believe, however help thou my unbelief. Fill me with your Spirit Lord. I need a fresh filling of your presence in my life. I confess that you are the Christ, the Son of The One & Only Living God. It is definitely in you that I live, I move and have my being. Lord help me to develop boundaries in my life that will allow me to go in and out of life situations unscathed and representative of your life. I ask for your wisdom. Please empower me to acquire greater understanding of what your will is for my life. Thank you Father for listening to my requests and petitions. I pray that I would be as sensitive to listen to yours as you were in listening to mine. Thanks for your love and compassion that has been extended to me ALL of my life. I have come to believe and know that you have been there for me all the time. Jesus, I thank you for healing my sin-sick soul. I thank you for healing my diseased ridden body. And I thank you for healing my infirmed mind. I appreciate and honor what you did for ME on Calvary’s Cross. I am gracious that you sit at the right hand of the Father and you daily ensure that your will is carried out and enforced. Now Father by the faith, I believe and I receive that the requests that I have asked of you are already done and forever settled in eternity. Thank you for the blessings made manifest now. Most Appreciative, Your Son
