Charlie was attacked at the dog park yesterday! No broken skin, but TERRIFIED! He cried and shook for some time after I got him away from the other dog. He woke up scared twice in the night. He is bruised on his side around his feeding tube, so much so that when I tried to feed him this morning, he jerked away hard enough to pull it out. And more pain when I put it back in. We spent the afternoon and evening in the ER. Exam, ultrasound...etc. Hes gonna be on pain meds for the next few days, just so I can touch him enough to feed him. The dog was a huge German Shepherd, very aggressive, shouldnt have been in the park. And the owner, seem to be oblivious! Charlie was the fourth dog he went after. We should have left sooner! You live and learn, but Charlie paid the price.
