Charne Schoeman I urgently need advice on how to deal with the following: we signed a lease agreement to take occupation of our new house from 1 June 2014. we have paid our deposit and first month rental. The agency notified us that we could move in on 31 May 2014 at 14h00. We have been in contact with the agency since 8am yesterday informing them that the new tenants have not indicated any signs of moving as we drove past the place. we are now sitting unable to move into our new house, I have two small kids under the age of 6 and have no house to move into. I contacted the principle of the agency and she informed me that she is unable to assist until Monday and she cannot indicate where we are suppose to sleep. i need to know what legal action we can take to recover for any loss and inconvenience caused by this matter. the old tenant of the house has indicated that they are not moving out any time soon as they apparently have not found a new place. the old tenant was given two months notice to move out due to not paying rental. please if anyone can assist me I would greatly appreciate it.
