Charter Communications wins round one . . . but there is a round - TopicsExpress

Charter Communications wins round one . . . but there is a round or two to come. And we have excellent arguments to make. We firmly believe that I-172 is unconstitutional in that it requires an appropriation and is special legislation favoring only ONE taxpaying entity. But maybe even worse, if adopted, I-172 would shift millions of dollars in tax liability from one, single corporate entity onto the backs of homeowners and small businesses all across Montana. Simply outrageous. Of course, the attorney general’s ballot statement says nothing about this. Completely misleading. If you know someone who has signed I-172 qualifying it for the ballot ask them what they were thinking? Do they really want to take onto themselves millions of dollars in Charter’s tax liability? Really? When do we the people stop paying corporate America’s bills? billingsgazette/news/state-and-regional/montana/supco-rejects-mea-mft-attempt-to-block-i/article_f95a3c33-615e-5415-82d5-4fb55d8a55db.html
