Charter Oak Cultural Center is looking for images for this upcoming exhibition. Romare Beardens seminal work, The Block, is a six-panel painting that depicts life in Harlem through its neighborhood buildings. As an acknowledgement of Beardens powerful work and community spirit and the recent 100th anniversary of his birth, we invite artists to create an artwork that celebrates their favorite block in Hartford.
