He was born Gregory Chase Holt on February 5, 1984 to Gregg and Melissa (Brown) Holt. Chase graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and served his country in the United States Navy. He is of the Baptist faith and employed by Center Point Energy in New Boston, Texas. He leaves his wife, Linzie Matthews Holt; his parents, Gregg and Kim Holt of Mount Pleasant, and Melissa and Daylan Davis of Lone Star, Texas; son, Caleb Holt of Mount Pleasant, Texas; grandparents, Robert Holt of Sugarhill, Texas and Johnny Mack Brown of Cason, Texas; mother-in-law Debra and her husband Jammy Wright of Waco, Texas; father-in-law, Jerry Matthews of Mount Pleasant, Texas; sister, Lacey and her husband Kyle Boyd of Crawley, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Melba Webster, Ruby Holt, and Connie Brown; cousin Johnny Holt. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Interment will follow at the Nevills Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Caleb Holt Fund at the Guaranty Bond Bank, P.O.
