Chasing debts is wasting a lot of my time. My revised policy is as follows: 50% of your shoot fee is required to book your session. Failure to show up for your shoot forfeits your deposit. Last minute cancelation forfeits your deposit. Your session time slot will only be marked off on my calendar once the deposit is paid. The remainder of the shoot fee will be paid prior to shooting. If you show up to your shoot without the remainder of the fee, you will either need to pay at the time of shooting, or forfeit your shoot fee and reschedule for a later date. No on good faith shooting will provided under any circumstances. Please plan accordingly. If your shoot requires studio rental and you bail, you will be billed for the studio time in addition to your deposit. This debt will be collected as necessary. Add-ons will be billed at standard rates, agreed upon before and during the shoot. A contract detailing all the above will need to be signed prior to shoot day. No shoots will be done without a contract. These last few weeks have taught me that people often take advantage of small business owners. This is unacceptable.
