Chatted with lots of moms today in carpool. Everyone asked How was your summer?? I wanted to say, Well, I gained 22 pounds, no lie. I pretty much did not have any of my kids friends over, even though I promised all school year I would. I thought the housekeeping destruction couldnt get worse than during the school year, but that was proved wrong. I worked on my skin cancer. Spent hideous amounts of money on beer and Mikes Hard Cherry Lemonade. Did not have one single day where we werent running somewhere, packing, unpacking, or cleaning for guests. My preschool job stuff is STILL sitting by the garage door, where I dumped it last May. I lost like 18 extremely important documents. A bunny ate all the brussel sprouts I was trying to grow. I envisioned lots of culdesac campfires and cocktails, but saw my neighbors like once. I didnt print or organize any photos from the last 8 years like I had hoped to do. oh, and I fell madly in love and mildly obsessed with horseradish cheese dip. In the end, I simply just answered, It was GREAT!! How about yours??
