Cheat days arent cheat days because you arent cheating on your diet. Whatever you eat IS your diet, which means that the cheat days were always a part of it. Any diet should account for the fact that there are going to be times when you wont want to adhere. Everyones human, and no one eats perfectly 100% of the time. Another thing that bothers me is exercise programs in which the trainer/coach makes a huge emphasis on following them exactly to the T in order to get results. If a workout plan cant work without accounting for a few minor variations here and there, it wouldnt have worked in the first place. With diet, as with exercise, there should be a focus on individual exertion and tolerance in order to build adherence, which is the key factor in whether or not a program will succeed. Even then, it must be understood that any good plan will NEVER plan for adherence to be 100%. A plan which accounts for that which falls outside of it is omnipotent. A plan which cannot is impotent.
