Cheat meals / free meals whatever you want to call them; Id been weirdly craving oats with choc & peanut butter so that was my dessert after a dinner of authentic Greek pizza with friends. For me I think it is important to have a meal or 2 off a week for several reasons; 1: sanity. I love healthy food but nothing but lean meats, veggies & root veggies would get pretty boring. 2: socializing; for me my meals off are not just about the food, they are about taking time to eat out & catch up with friends, making time for friendships & de stressing is important & over a nice meal is one of my favorite ways to socialize. 3: Health; on all levels. Physically if you eat the same old foods day in day out you can lack a good variety of nutrients & minerals etc. Emotionally I think its important to be able to let go WITHOUT GUILT. One or two meals off a week when the rest on your lifestyle is healthy isnt going to make you fat, I am talking off season balance here :) Work hard, eat well, & let go now & then!
