Cheating Poem: I Wanted You To Be My WifeThis poem was written by myself Edwin Marita at the age of 18.one of my boyhood and closest friend caught his fiancee in his own house on the very bed he sleeps on.the event of his naration to me made me compose this poem as i saw his tears roll down his cheeks. This episode made me love poems much and am poetic upto now. Please read it carefully and comment if it touches you. The Darkness In That Night Josh A chill in the air awoke him And he pulled his blankets tight the booze was running strong it had been a good night He felt sick and tried to sleep again Relaxed and breathed a sighThe room was dark and silent and he could still taste the rye.He laid there dazed and lazyBut something was not rightHe felt the need to investigateThe darkness in that night He sat up and rubbed his eyes and looked over at his side When he didnt see her A fear crept up inside He knew something was wrong She is never up this late Now his curiosity Would make him investigate He strained his ears to listen Hoping he could hear herBut couldnt hear a thingOnly his heart beating fearHe stood up and walked to the doorAnd pause one more timeAgain he heard no soundBut saw a dull lights shineIt came from downstairs somewhere And he knew she must be here He went down the stairs to find herAnd grab another beer He went down the stairs slowly And turned the corner to the hallTook two steps to the kitchenTwo steps that was allHe stopped and stood silentHis body frozen in shockHis mind trying to comprehendAs time ticked off the clockHe watched the look of pleasureThe passion in her eyeAs she took everything he hadAnd gave it to another guy His body began to trembleHis emotions ran hot He was going to kill them Right there on the spot He walked into the kitchen And tried to grab a knife He wasnt going to listenJust going to take their lifeThey heard him open drawersAnd panic filled the airThey were caught red handedBut could only just stand thereHe screamed at them and threatenedAnd smashed everything in sightThis was it for himHe would deal with this tonightShe tried to walk up and grab himBut something held her in placeShe knew something was wrongBy the pain on his face He fell down on the floor Overwhelmed with grief He knew it was too muchHe would find no reliefThe pain was too much for himAnd he began to fadeThe anger in his bloodSpilling out along his bladeAll the screams became silent And he felt no more fearThis day would never shine on himFor he would not be hereHe prayed the dark would comeAnd take him awayHe would not have to feel thisFor even one lonely dayHis body shook and he knewThat his time was nearWhen she came to hold himAnd whispered in his earIm sorry love, you know I amPlease dont leave me nowIm so sorry, please dont dieIll make it up some howShe told the man to call for helpAnd tried to save his life. His last words to her were I wanted you to be my wife.
