Brasabana’s Upcoming Dinner Event Will Help Raise Money to Build a Kindergarten Schoolhouse in Ghana Azur Food Group and Brasabana Restaurant (Cuban cuisine with a Latin flare) will host a special three course dinner at Brasabana, 841 Lane Allen Road, on November 18 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated in an effort to build a two-room kindergarten schoolhouse in Ghana. At $25 per person the dinner will feature a first course of: Fried Avocado, Couscous Timbale with Lump Crabmeat and a Serrano Chile Sauce; a main course consisting of Ghana Jollof Rice (a version of Spanish meat paella with beef, chicken, pork and annatto rice, with tomatoes, okra and pineapple); and dessert, Bananas Ghana (roasted bananas with apricot brandy, coconut and peanuts). Brasabana will be open for regular hours and service that day (11am - 10pm): the event dinner menu will begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $24.95, plus beverage, tax and gratuity.
