Hazard Reduction burns reduce the risk of out of control Bushfires, by reducing the vegetation fuel loading, such as leaf litter, from the ground, therefore assisting fire fighters to protect homes on hot, windy, High Fire danger days. The HR Burn in the video was coordinated & run by paid fire fighters from Fire & Rescue NSW. From time to time, both volunteers from the #RFS & paid fire fighters from #FRNSW assist each agency with HR Burns in both agencies areas of responsibility.
