Though we welcome runners and walkers alike, the RR movement began with a few beach runners who got tired of running over all the litter and marine debris and started picking it up. Going on 2.5 years later, our amazing volunteers have picked up nearly a million pieces of rubbish, contributed to the recent win to get a #cashforcontainers 10c deposit on bottles & cans in NSW and the ACT, and advocate for reusable options over single-use packaging. We depend entirely on volunteers like you, and currently run in Bondi, Coogee, Maroubra, Balmoral, Gold Coast (The Spit, Mermaid Beach), Tuggerah, Bunbury WA, and launch today in Dee Why. Were in and out in 30 minutes a week and collect data on all hauls for Tangaroa Blues Australian Marine Debris Initiative - come be a part of it!
