Check out our trips this week!! Lead Climbing Clinic – Tues. Sep. 17 This class will teach lead belaying and climbing on our tower at the Maine Bound Adventure Center. This class is required for lead climbing in the gym. Member: $5; Non-Member: $10 Kayak Roll Clinic – Wed. Sep. 18 Our experienced paddle staff will walk you step by step through a sequence that will have you on your way to a great kayak roll. You will also learn the fundamentals of escaping your boat if you flip, and the steps involved in executing a kayak roll. Member: $20; Non-Member: $30 Surf Southern Maine –Sept. 21 This trip is a great introduction to learning the basics of surfing. We will head south to one of the many beaches boasting favorable surf conditions. On land, our instructors will go over some essential techniques; then we’ll head to the water to hit some waves! Surfboard rental price not included (approximately $30). Member: $35; Non-Member: $40 Day Hikes and Swimming Holes – Sept. 21-22 We will be spending a weekend in Grafton Notch, NH, exploring some day hikes as well as the picturesque waterfalls and swimming holes that the notch has to offer. Member: $70; Non-Member: $80 Rock Climb the Precipice – Sept. 22 Spend a day in Acadia National Park doing something other than driving the park loop road. On this trip, you get to spend the day rock climbing, specifically multi-pitch climbing, as well as enjoy a day outdoors in the park. This adventure sport offers a unique blend of mental, emotional, and physical challenges that are both rewarding and fun! Members: $55; Non-Member: $65
