RNs from Daughters of Charity hospitals, community members, patients and other organizations are turning out for public hearings this week to show support for the sale to Prime. Prime has committed to keeping the five Daughters of Charity hospitals open — and maintain their vital emergency and acute care services for their communities — for at least five years at a time when the hospitals are facing bankruptcy and closure if the sale is blocked. The sole alternative buyer, a Wall Street hedge-fund – which has never operated a hospital — has failed to make any commitment to keep the hospitals open or protect community health care. #DaughtersOfCharity
