Check out the first message in our new series, The Me I Want To Be, and the following prayer by Chuck Swindoll. How much we need you our Father. We need you to flow through every part of us. We need you to be our ears. So we choose to hear what is true and just and pure and right and excellent. We need you to be our mouth so that when we speak, we speak under the control of your spirit for the single purpose of spreading your fame. Guard our lips our Father from profanity, impatient words, gossip, rage. Be our mouth Lord. Be our hands. As we reach out to others, may we communicate compassion and true love. Be our minds, so that we think your thoughts. So we are free from fear, so that our ability to concentrate is enhanced. Be our vision, oh Lord of our lives. Direct us into the paths of the future that would please you and may those paths lead to places that honor you. Be our vision. As we start this new year, we give all of ourselves – from head to toe – to you. Do what you need to do to make me into the me you want me to be. Amen.
