DAHLIA: Rescue Plea for Water-Lovin’ Female Pit Bull Mix at Anne Arundel County Animal Control, Millersville, MD – Sherry Durm · DAHLIA’S PULL FEES WILL BE PAID BY A GENEROUS SUPPORTER OF OUR SHELTER · Dahlia did well with people around food and being near both cats and dogs. · Received bordetella and distemper vaccinations on July 2 (all dogs do). · Arrived July 1; now interacting daily with volunteers. · Dahlia weighs 42.6 pounds and is about 1-2 years old. A tub of water on a hot, hot day? Eh, some dogs can take it or leave it – but ducky Dahlia dived right in like it was her second home, as you can see in the attached video. Oh; excuse me? Did I say “second” home? Hmmm. Given that she doesn’t have a first home right now, that might not be the appropriate phrase. But you get my drift: This girl loves her some water! A lot of lab in her background, perhaps? Volunteers are just getting to know Dahlia, who arrived at the shelter as a stray. She is friendly, walks fairly well on a leash without lots of pulling, shows little interest in other dogs and is generally calm and cooperative. She is already spayed and has a microchip that, unfortunately, has not led her back to anyone. Can you help Dahlia dive into some divine new digs?
