This kind of thing is what I feared from the very beginning: that a half-assed attempt at solving USAs medical systems problems by simply mandating that people buy insurance would backfire by leaving half the people unable to afford the insurance, and the other half unable to afford the co-pays: nytimes/2014/10/18/us/unable-to-meet-the-deductible-or-the-doctor.html?emc=edit_th_20141018&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=62809165&_r=0 I think what we really need instead is full-blown single-payer healthcare. Though Im sure some of my friends will disagree.
