Check out this awesome review from Scarys Reviews: Flesh of the earth is a blackened technical death metal band from Melbourne. The band has a 6 track album out called Natures Reign, which is one of the well produced, mixed albums of recent years. This 6 track offering has a set of very well thought out and placed songs. ‘’The Brightest Dawn’’ have a very charming opening, then the assault burst out. This opener rips your face off, leaving you to head bang. ‘’The Titan’’ has a little touch of folk metal in its riff, and follows well after Brightest Dawn. ‘’Flesh Of The Earth’’ this sums up the band, no time for mercy, bring on and continue the slaughter, this track will deliver a mighty wrath upon you. ‘’Cordyceptic’’ starts with a nice taste of drums, then a riff of high voltage proportions, and continues firing all guns. ‘’Mangrove’’ this one, gives you time to breathe, then absorbs all the air and blows you away. ‘’Ash and Dust’’ again leaves you time to breathe, here you can settle down a bit, and embrace the groove driven closer. These 6 tracks, are a full force attack, each has their own speciality, whether it’s fast, fast then slows down and picks up, is slow yet still packs a punch, these 6 songs are sick, fine metal. Latham V. Horvath –Vocals, expresses what he has to say with power and glory, his vocals are fierce, strong and deep. His growls, screams and roars below from deep within and when they’re released, all hail the master. Drums - Shane Clough, they say no pain no game, well Shane has gained a lot of great skill and technique over the years to deliver such drumming. It is insane what Shane does, the rapid fast rolls, kicks, mix of beats and other little offerings, damn, Shane Clough will possess your soul. Dale Clough and Patrick Valentine – guitars, have a great range of riffs, strong chemistry, and when one keeps the edge going, there goes a solo, which are always awesome, and these ones are orgasmic. Some fine melodies underline the flowing rhythm, and the presence of the two, excellent. Bass - Joel Mair, well, when in a band like Flesh of the earth, you have a lot to do, and Joel has passed all tests and feats of strength. Joel handles matters well, comfortable with what he does, we see Joel enjoys every moment playing, and seeing those fingers being kept busy, will leave you dizzy. Flesh of the earth keeps you energised, so be sure to check them out, theyre what having a great time is all about
