It is interesting to note when the English crown passed the Irish Free State Act in 1922 it stipulated how the Irish free state should be structured, and in January 1923 when England was supposed to have no more control, the crowns representative in Ireland lord glenavey chaired the committee that designed the new court structure for the new free state, its no coincidence that he recommended the current court structure that was requested by the crown in the Government of Ireland Act of 1920.
