Check out this pendant necklace made by Lis-el Crowley for our upcoming exhibit Inspired Objects: Metalworking through the Ages opening Friday, June 13th with a FREE public opening at the Society from 7-9PM. Local artists have crafted necklaces, pendants, scarf rings, and other objects that will be displayed alongside the Society’s artifacts that inspired them, ranging from a mundane tin pudding pot to elaborate hat pins and fine ladies’ handbags. Crowleys inspirational object is a ca. 1900 ladies handbag, once owned by Windsor-native Marguerite Mills (1903-1985) and used by her mother, Catherine Phelps Mills.
