Check yourself before you wreck yourself! Sometimes when you start a workout you dont always feel 100%. Maybe you arent lifting as heavy as you know you can or perhaps youre not jumping as high as normal. These are indicators that your body has not fully recovered from previous bouts of activity whether it be a match or gym session. Pay attention to these indicators and regulate your workout accordingly. You dont have to skip your workout completely just lower the intensity/volume and instead of doing say 4-6 main exercises, focus on 1 or 2 and then do some SMR / mobility/ flexibility work instead.
