Cheers John Patterson. Section 123 (2) (g) of the Local Govt. Act - TopicsExpress

Cheers John Patterson. Section 123 (2) (g) of the Local Govt. Act is around the publication of information about differential rates. If a Council utilises differential rates it is required to publish specific information about them in its draft annual business plan and endorsed annual business plan. The CTTG didnt comply with this provision in respect to its draft and endorsed annual business plans and it didnt comply in respect to this financial years draft annual business plan. I complained and it was fixed for the approved 2013/14 Annual Business Plan. The above was just more of an example of how hypocritical our Council is. It is running around and holding tens of thousands of decent and hard-working people to account for alleged unlawful conduct (under the guise of law enforcement which can very easily be argued is simply a revenue raising exercise) and yet it didnt comply with the law itself. Hell....for four years (2006-2010) the CTTGs did not comply with the Expiation of Offences Act 1996 when it issued expiation notices. Its expiation notices were defective and interfered with accused persons rights with how to deal with the matter.
