CheerupTuesday - Its that time of the year when the skies are grey and cold, Christmas seems ages ago, winter seems to have set in to stay, and spring is a long way off. Add in the fact that the world seems to be a troubled place at the moment and the news is always glum! So my friends, its time for CheerupTuesday - something the look at/listen to, and marvel at the wonder of music, performance and art. Today - something I only discovered on YouTube this evening, and boy, does it brighten up a dull day. Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne, Rhani Harrison and others perform a tribute to George Harrison, playing while my guitar gently weeps from the Beatles white album, at the Rock n Roll hall of fame in 2004 (yep 11 years ago now). Its a work of art - fellow musos admire, and then be amazed stunned and startled by Princes amazing guitar solo, whilst the rest of the band keep on playing perfectly, precisely and with passion.
