Chekika State Recreational Facility. This is at the end of SW 168th Street in Homestead. The federally run Park facility is now abandoned and the buildings are in a state of decay. There was once a radio tower in this portion of the park. As you can tell by the photo, the tower, the buildings and the road leading to it have been completely removed. However, if you are out this way, there are several abandoned restaurants on Krome Avenue.
