Chelsea Close In On Deal to Sign £34.9m Brazilian International Forward Hulk by Charlie Yaxley June 15th, 2013 Comments0 Brazilian forward will consider his future following Confederations Cup. Brazilian striker Hulk has revealed that he is keen on securing a move to Chelsea according to The Daily Mail. The forward is currently plying his trade at Russian side Zenit St Petersburg after moving there from Porto last summer but he has endured a tumultuous time at the club. Immediately upon his arrival, Hulk caused dressing room unrest with a number of Zenit’s established stars demanding to receive the same pay package as the Brazilian. The player has also suffered spats with the club’s manager and fans and was only prevented from leaving the club during the January transfer window by FIFA regulations. Hulk is now free to move once again and he has revealed he is hoping to secure a move to Stamford Bridge. Monaco have also expressed an interest in his signature but it is thought that the player has his heart set on a move to the Premier League. Chelsea are known to be in the market for a striker and have been linked to the likes of Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea’s new boss Jose Mourinho will instead shift his focus to Hulk or whether he will continue to pursue his previous targers.
