Chelsea have been criticised by many an analyst, for the tactics we deployed in Anfield, as well as in some games where weve chosen to play behind the ball while we wait to capitalise on opponents mistake. I remember with Rafa Benitez playing against Chelsea we played them at their own game. We slowed the game down, played direct football, never got caught on the counter-attack and never risked playing a ball into Gerrard or Alonso, as they had Duff, Robben and Drogba for the counter-attack. You cant complain and say we dont play like that. Weve done it before and been successful in it. You cant complain. Lots of team have done it. Weve done it. So get on with it and try to find a way to fix it. You think of other teams whove played Liverpool, especially at Anfield, Arsenal have gone there and conceded five and were done planty of times on the counter attack. Everton were exactly the same and conceded four, Spurs went there and played open and conceded four. I cant believe it has taken so long to do this. But Carragher thinks there cant be any better deployer of 19th Century Football than Jose Mourinho. Hes the master and King of 19th Century Football and hes not embarrased about it. Maybe what criticisers would have to understand is that in solving drastic problems, drastic measures needed to be taken. The one drastic measure Chelsea needed to take, to get the points at Anfield, where goals are produced by the home teams with ease, was to deploy an anti-attacking approach. The Man Citys, the Arsenals, the Evertons, the Tottenhams and all other teams that fell prey #Anfield probably had no idea about how to get the vaccine thatll have their teams immuned against the deadly venom present at Anfield, but the magical Mourinho was in possession of it #vaccine and that kept his team safe . Rather than applaud a man that did what others couldnt do, he gets criticised from every angle. Who cares anyway?
