Chelsea have scored 27 goals in their last seven Barclays Premier League home games against Aston Villa, including a 7-1 win and an 8-0. Aston Villa have attempted just eight shots on target in five Premier League games this season; fewer than any other side. 10 of the 13 points (from nine games) that Jose Mourinho has taken against Aston Villa in the Barclays Premier League have come at Stamford Bridge. Only two of Andre Schurrles 10 Premier league goals have come at Stamford Bridge. Villa are the only Premier League team yet to concede an away goal this season. Seven different nationalities have scored for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, a wider spread than at any other club. Chelsea have kept only one clean sheet in their last six Premier League games. Thibaut Courtois has kept only one clean sheet in his opening five Premier League games, three fewer than Petr Cech (4) did in his first five. Aston Villa have not won three Premier League away games in a row since April 2010. Arsenal have won four of their last five Barclays Premier League games against Tottenham (two 1-0 wins and two 5-2 wins). Tottenham have won just one of their last 21 Barclays Premier League games away at Arsenal. Arsenal last failed to score at home to Spurs in the Premier League in November 1998. Since then the Gunners have scored 38 times in 15 games. Article continues below... Tottenham have conceded six penalties in the Premier League in 2014, only Manchester United have conceded as many. Arsenal took 25 points from their 10 London derbies in the Premier League last season (W8 D1 L1) and defeated Crystal Palace on the opening weekend this season. Six of Tottenhams seven league points this season have come in London derbies. If there are four goals in this game then it will become the outright highest scoring fixture in Premier League history (currently 126 goals). Seven points from five games is Tottenhams slowest start since gaining just two under Juande Ramos in 2008-09. Arsenal (154) and Tottenham (125) are first and third respectively for dribbles attempted this season. Emmanuel Adebayor has scored more goals than any other player in north London derby history (8 for Arsenal and 2 for Spurs Old Trafford, Manchester Barclays Premier League Saturday 27th September 2014, KO 15:00 BST Referee: Lee Mason; Assistants: A Garratt & I Hussin; Fourth Official: M Dean Manchester United face West Ham Unitedat Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. United fell apart away to Leicester City last weekend, which was a match I was glad to miss on arriving in Miami and learning the score six hours after full-time. I did watch Angel Di Maria’s goal on the internet though, what a cracker it was. That defeat must have grated on many, as soon as I found out about it, I was in a bad mood for a few hours. It just goes to show that it was never going to be easy to get the side back to the team there were a few years back, but United are well on their way to getting there. Louis van Gaal is doing his best, he has brought in some great players during the summer, but the main mistake will be letting Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic leave the club without bringing in a replacement, but that is something that we will have to put up with until at least January now. At least some of the youth players are getting a chance with Paddy McNair and Tom Thorpe possibly being drafted into the side, which is something that will either go well or not. It is strange that Marcos Rojo is the only experienced central defender in the squad due to injuries and suspensions. Some will be looking forward to facing West Ham United at Old Trafford, but I am dreading it. United have done well against the Hammers over the years, playing 18 matches in the Premier League at Old Trafford, winning 16 and losing twice with nine clean sheets, 44 goals scored and only nine conceded, but those teams in the past had an experienced defence, something which is not currently at the club right now. Van Gaal currently has seven players out on the sidelines; Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young, Marouane Fellaini and Jesse Lingard. West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has a few injuries of his own including; Kevin Nolan, Matt Jarvis, Cheikhou Kouyaté, Andy Carroll, Joey O’Brien. What quite happens this season will be something to be desired. If United can ensure they do not lose at Old Trafford in all of their remaining matches, it will be a better season than the last, but with West Ham not winning at Old Trafford in the Premier League, I can see another record being broken. Hopefully that will not happen. Radamel Falcao, Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw are all great additions and perhaps the latter will play at left-back on Saturday, which will enable his doubters to get a better idea seeing as many have judged him before he’s even made his competitive debut for the club. With the players United have in their team, there are all of the ingredients needed to make a competitive side, well apart from the defence seeing as our three experienced central defenders seem to pick up injuries a lot of the time. I am sure something will give at some point and Van Gaal will be the one to sort it out… Manchester United Statistics: Based on Barclays Premier League 2014/15 [statistics taken from the Official Barclays Premier League website] Played 5 matches, won 1, drawn 2, lost 2 and currently have 5 points Scored 9 goals (1.80 goals per match) & conceded 8 goals (1.60 goals per match) – 0 penalties Longest unbeaten streak is 3 matches Clean sheet record 40% West Ham United Statistics: Based on Barclays Premier League 2014/15 [statistics taken from the Official Barclays Premier League website] Played 5 matches, won 2, drawn 1, lost 2 and currently have 7 points Scored 9 goals (1.60 goals per match) & conceded 8 goals (1.80 goals per match) – 0 penalties Longest unbeaten streak is 2 matches Clean sheet record 0% Top Scorers: Manchester United: 2 – Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, 1 – Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera West Ham United: 3 – Leonardo Ulloa, 1 - Chris Wood Manchester United Form: – LWDLDL Last six matches: Leicester City 5-3 L, Queens Park Rangers 4-0 W, Burnley 0-0 D, MK Dons 4-0 L, Sunderland 1-1 D, Swansea City 2-1 L West Ham United: - WDLLWL Last six matches: Liverpool 3-1 W, Hull City 2-2 D, Southampton 3-1 L, Sheffield United 1-1 (4-5p) L, Crystal Palace 3-1 W, Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 L Head to Head: Played 18 matches at Old Trafford in the Barclays Premier League: Manchester United: Won 16, Drawn 0, Lost 2 – Scored 44 goals, conceded 9 goals and kept 9 clean sheets West Ham United: Won 2, Drawn 0, Lost 16 – Scored 9 goals, conceded 44 goals and kept 2 clean sheet Manchester United Squad: Manager: Louis van Gaal Goalkeepers: 1.
