Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is planning to spend more time in New York. The New York Post says he is set to buy the majority of a city block, which he will eventually turn into one of the citys biggest mansions. Abramovich has been on a lengthy property search in the Big Apple, after having a $75million bid on a home overlooking Central Park Zoo turned down in 2014. Since then, he has been buying up the narrow townhouses on the Upper East Side - and area where some of the richest people ever known in New York have lived. The Chelsea supremo spent $29.7million on a property on East 75th Street in October, before buying the house two doors down for $18.3million just prior to Christmas. Great idea? EH10
