Chelsea striker Samuel Etoo has branded Jose Mourinho as a fool for questioning his age earlier in the season. Speaking during the Premier League campaign, Mourinho hinted that Etoo was too old thrive in England. The Portuguese coach was questioning the ability of his strike trio of Etoo, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba and said of the Cameroon forward: Eto’o is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows? However, the former Barcelona star has finally hit back and claimed that, despite being 33, he still performed better than Torres and Ba. Etoo said: I am 33 years old. And it is not because a fool called me an old man that you must believe it. And you may have noticed that the old man was better than the youngsters. Some believe I am going to retire in the United States or in the Middle East, but I have regained the joy of the Champions League and I am going to carry on playing in the Champions League. Where? I am not going to tell you. But I am going to carry on playing because physically and mentally I feel great. So I am going to go to this World Cup and to the next one when I will be 37. Etoos Chelsea career appears to be over, with Diego Costa expected to join the Blues from Atletico Madrid later this summer. The striker recently hinted that he would like to play football on the Balearic holiday island of Mallorca, where his son was born
