Chennai 50 k. Done and dusted. It seems a bit insane to go across the country to run a 50 k in this weather with achilles tendonitis but as usual it was well worth it. Great terrain and lots of enthu . A couple of points as constructive feedback shall be separately shared with organizers. I find that with runs that are challenging it is the days following that allow the good feeling to seep in. The distance was never going to be daunting but it was the injury and the lack of preparation ( because of the injury) and the sun that made it a good one to finish. Disappointed with the abrupt drop in pace after 30 k but what the heck! Next time. I chose this run because it gave me the chance to come to Pondicherry and spend some time with mother and sister. Missed the auroville marathon this year so glad that worked out. But it was great that I did not have to come alone and had the company of amit,shruti and maneesh. Always more fun that way. Ready for more.
