Chennai, April 19 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa Saturday said preliminary works for setting up of two desalination water projects to meet the future water demands of the Tamil Nadu capital have started. Addressing a couple of election rallies here, Jayalalithaa said: Considering the growing population in Chennai, it has been decided to set up a Rs.1,000 crore 150 million litre per day desalination water project at Nemmeli and work on that has commenced.
