Cherokee Feast of Days - July 1st Because we cant see the possibility of something doesnt mean it doesnt exist. We just dont see it and what we do not see we cannot understand. Grandmother used to say that someone got the light on something that had been muddled to them. They suddenly understood. Few of us suddlenly understand because we are fighting the idea, trying to avoid believing something--only to have it become obvious. And Grandmother, El li si, added, and when you get the light, watch it, and if it dims--its not the truth. My thoughts... the ah ha moment.. when more has been revealed and a deeper understanding finds us. Chasing it doesnt work. Being patient for it allows us to be still and remain open for that moment when it finds me. It sometimes seems by accident, but nothing is by accident. When I am full of fear of how things will be, replacing that fear with faith and the belief that something larger than myself is managing things, I am confident that the light will find me and reveal a direction for me. I just have to be open and willing for that.
