Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network Network day and AGM 15th February 2014 ~ All Saints Church, Hoole 1pm to 5pm Confirmed Programme Highlights Funding: * Did you know that Councillors have access to money to spend in their local communities? In 2011/12 they had access to £750,000 and spent £413,192. In 2012/13 they had 1,086,807 and spent £984,584. Hear how to access this money. Councillor Nicole Meardon will be speaking at the network day. * Paul Davies is repeating his very well received talk about what funding is available from grant making bodies and how to access it. Cultural Strategy: * Katherine West, Museums and Arts Manager for CWaC will be talking about the developing Cultural Strategy for the borough and there will be an opportunity to discuss what should go into it. New buildings: * Updates on the new theatre in Chester as well as what’s going on at the Memorial Court in Northwich. Visual Arts Cheshire: * Alan Carr Chairman of Visual Arts Cheshire will share with us their experiences of developing their group and the challenges it faces in supporting its gallery space. Arts network update: Hear what the network has been up to in its campaigning to promote the voluntary Arts sector in Cheshire West and Chester. We will also hold our AGM at the end of the day.
