Chia seeds: A great superfood for energy and endurance. It is grown in Mexico and were used by Aztec warriors as a way to keep up energy levels and endurance during battle. It is also higher in fiber so it helps regulate metabolism and gut health. It can be used as a thickener in shakes or soups or can be eaten raw in a salad. Lastly, since these seeds absorb up to 10 times there weight in water, you stay hydrated longer and stay fuller longer. Add this to your daily diet but start out slow. Start out with 1 tablespoon per day so that your body can get used to it and go up to a max of 3 tablespoons per day. Mix this in before workouts or incorporate them in meals and see how much more energy and less hungry you are throughout the day.
