Chicagoans experienced April in June much of Thursday- rainy and chilly with temperatures hovering at April-level 50s much of the day, until late-afternoon sunshine finally boosted the mercury into the lower and middle 60s. It was the already the city’s fourth day of measurable precipitation in this young month keeping with 2013’s very wet trend. Since the first of the year Chicago has logged nearly 23 inches of rain making this the all-time wettest open to a year dating back to 1871. Dry weather should rule through Saturday before the next round of precipitation arrives.
