Chicopee Police Issue Summons After ‘Wings on Pigs’ Facebook Post CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) — Investigators will be issuing a summons against a Chicopee man after what police considered as a threatening post on social media. Chicopee Police say that on Monday, the department was alerted to a Facebook post that said “Put Wings on Pigs.” “After the events of the past few days, the PD took this threat very seriously,” police explain in a statement on their Facebook page. Chicopee detectives investigated and a summons will be reportedly issued for Charles Dirosa of Chicopee for threatening to commit a crime. “We, as police officers, take this statement as a threat, considering, before executing 2 police officers, this was said. It will be up to a court to determine, not us. We, as police, file a criminal complaint, and let the court determine,” police add. Police note that Dirosa’s information was also shared with other area police departments and the Mass. State Police in the interest of officer safety. Post by Chicopee Police Department.
