Chief Information Officer-HARARE $6,000 - $9,000 Gross depending on experience Our Client is a well-known and reputable company in the financial industry who urgently require a Chief Information Officer. The Chief Information Officer’s role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the mission of Company. The Chief Information Officer directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of Company operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and mission development. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the Company information technology and systems. The role will cover strategy and planning, acquisition and deployment and operational management. KEY SKILL The successful candidate should have 5-10 years’ experience managing and/or directing an IT operation, with IT industry or financial industry being key. Experience in strategic planning and execution is essential and one must also have considerable knowledge of business theory and business processes management, budgeting and business office operations. Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and outsourced systems. In addition, candidates interested should have a strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices and procedures, and proven leadership ability. KEY QUALIFICATION University degree in the field of computer science or business administration and/or 5-10 years applicable work experience. Master’s degree in either of these fields or Master of Business Administration with technology as a core component is an added advantage.
