Chief Minister Okram Ibobi has urged the people not to allow presence of both illegal and legal government together in the state. Inaugurating a new Eastern block of Churachandpur District Hospital yesterday Ibobi urged the public to convince armed persons that without the support and cooperation of people they cannot survive. He also maintained that earlier bureaucrats from Mizoram wanted to stay back in Manipur but now-a-days they are preparing to leave before their retirement. The chief minister said the time has come to introspect the situation. It would be not prudent on our part not to talk and think for only one community where more than 30 ethnic communities live together. He also assured to provide 24 hour electricity to Churachandpur District Hospital. Hospital employees submitted a memorandum to the CM urging him to fill up the vacant posts and to convert 100 bedded hospital into a 300 bedded hospital. The chief minister also inaugurated a newly constructed 50 bedded Bishnupur District Hospital and mini secretariat building. He also laid the foundation for a government polytechnic and industrial estate.
