Chief Vann House in northwest Georgia tells the story of the wealthiest Cherokee plantation owner in the early 1800s. Its current exhibit “Patchwork in the Quilt” focuses on the slaves who lived here. Because Moravian missionaries kept good records on individuals, the Vann House is of particular interest to those studying Black history.
