Child Recovered Unharmed Following Stolen Vehicle Incident We have charged a man in connection with a stolen vehicle incident yesterday evening. At approximately 5:45 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, we were called to the 10,000 block of Macleod Trail S.E., after a vehicle was stolen with a baby inside. The vehicle was left unlocked and running while the driver was inside a nearby store. A 10-month-old boy was left in a car seat in the back of the vehicle. The offender walked up to the vehicle and drove off with the child inside. The vehicle was located around 6:10 p.m., in the 9800 block of Horton Road S.W., when the offender flagged down a passerby and asked them to call 911. Police and EMS responded to the scene. The child was assessed by EMS as a precaution and was fortunately unharmed during the incident. The offender was arrested at the scene. Killick Donnie Hunter, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with one count each of motor vehicle theft, operating a motor vehicle while unauthorized, and driving while uninsured. He is scheduled to appear in Calgary Provincial Court on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015.
