Childhood Influences - my wife and I discussed some time ago (not a long time however) that it was interesting that the TV series Vikings was on and was popular. The Vikings were a popular subject when we were at school. Daniel Boone was a series on the TV also, as were other Westerns, both TV shows and movies. I was fascinated with Eskimo kayaks when I heard of those. All those things have influenced my interests today, that I am doing so much more with now that I am older. I guess thats following your dream when you tap into those subconscious images/influences that youve had since childhood and do something about them. With children today, being influenced by people such as Bear Grylls and others to have an interest in the outdoors thats got to be a good thing doesnt it. With that, and us as their parents, it gives me hope in future generations too.
