Children International’s primary focus is on children and youth. But moms, dads and siblings of the kids in our programs need help too. That’s why we designated today as Special Hug Day, an event to help the entire family. Families in poverty live on a daily basis without basic necessities – such as utensils, towels or even bed sheets – that we take for granted. On Special Hug Day, we give a gift to each family that helps address these needs. Past gifts include cooking sets, mosquito nets, mattresses and much more.
