Children are a gift from the Lord. Psalm 127:3. 27 years ago, I was given the most amazing gift. Her dad, her aunt and I had been at the hospital since late Sunday evening. We were all exhausted. Monday went by in a blur. Tuesday, September 15th came and I knew that this would be the day. This would be the day that I meet this amazing person who had been kicking me in the ribs, that had been keeping me awake at night and growing not just inside my tummy but inside my heart. The moment came, all of those hours of labor were so worth it. They laid her in my arms and I was forever and eternally changed. I had been given a precious, priceless gift. God smiled on her dad and me that day. He smiled on the world. She has her daddys eyes. Her Fathers heart. Her smile and her love captivates those around her. She lights up a room. She lights up our lives. She is the most amazing thing. She and God have exceeded anything that I could even remotely have dreamt or prayed for her. She has succeeded in so many milestones this year. Her Masters degree; Haverly After Ever; the wedding to the most amazing son in law ever. She has so very much to celebrate and for this I am thankful. This year has been such an amazing and life changing year for her. She makes me smile. She melts my heart. She makes me so extremely proud. I love you my darling daughter da whole bunch...
