Children have always played with danger. I stuck a hair pin into an electric socket once.And Russian Roulette was a game with deadly results back in the day. What makes things worse today is the internet.The stupidity is readily available for anyone to see. And teens, and tweens, are often willing to do the ridiculous, just to to increase their viewers. From cinnamon, to passing out,and now the one involving fire, the consequences from doing these things, can result in serious injury, and even death. What can we as parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends of these young folks, whose reasoning skills are still developing? We can keep communication lines open and discuss the seriousness of participating in these type of activities. We should check on children, when they have friends over, to see exactly what they are doing. We should also be aware of what, and with whom, they are sharing on the net. And we can pray that God will put a hedge of protection around them to keep them safe when we can not.
