China I will be back, very soon…next time I may stay for good, what an amazingly beautiful and vibrant place it is…travelled to 8 cities in 5 days, on a total variety of planes, trains & automobiles, met some truly amazing and beautiful people, that will not only be my friends for life, but many that I would say are the most warm, open, respectful, giving, loving and funny people ive ever met in my life, stayed in some of the best 5* hotels in china and also hung out in local backstreet slums, drinking and playing Chinese checkers, visited hospitals with terminally ill people, went to a care home, a children’s hospital and a orphanage, where I met a little boy that changed my life forever in an instant. Went up a mountain and through the jungle, I went to several bars and clubs and played 2 absolutely amazing gigs, Chinese girls love soulful house = FACT! I am back for now, but I am already planning my next trip, I defiantly felt that 23% of the worlds population was there, around me constantly, but what I didn’t expect was how much of the Chinese culture, drive and boundless determination to succeed was already integrated into our global society. I only managed to see one side of china, there is so much more for me to see and experience, such a vast and huge country, but a huge MASSIVE thank you to all of the people of Beijing, Tianjin, Jinan, Weifang, Qingdao, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and a special sincere warm thank you to my new crew from Shanghai, and a special thank you to the stewardess on Shandong Airlines who did actually save my life, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Honest and slightly confused apologies to the cleaners/staff of the Fairmont Peace hotel, I really don’t understand how I managed to trash the room so badly, in such a short time, was shocked myself…the jazz band, got the better of me! Need some sleep…will never do a 12hr direct flight ever again!!!!
