China Revealed ... I just happened to stumble upon this series on Netflix as I was looking for treadmill cardio material. THIS IS FANTASTIC! I have a clear new Bucket List item now: VISIT CHINA... In the early days of my martial arts studies, spending time on the Asian continent was of course a big deal to me, but it faded over the years, but it is now rekindled. This documentary series got TERRIBLE REVIEWS, and it was EXTREMELY HARD for me to even find a single video or trailer from it, but I finally found this YouTube clip from the first episode covering The Great Wall Of China... The photography/cinematography is EXCELLENT, and while many complain in the reviews about this guys slow and boring narration, it is EXACTLY what I like, because there are VERY SLOW photographic pans and pauses, rather than jumping too quickly from scene-to-scene, and subject-to-subject, and in some of the other episodes covering the various parks and city scapes, I now know there are clearly BREATHTAKING vistas to take in... So yeah... New Bucket List item for me: GO TO CHINA, and besides, the roots of EVERY SINGLE MARTIAL ART I HAVE EVER STUDIED (several) have their beginnings in China! ! Whos been there?
