China Update: So I feel like I have finally settled down in Shanghai. Although Im living out of my hotel for a month, I have found a gym, I am navigating the Metro system and I am taking all this new culture on board. Its been a hurricane the last two months, its hard moving from England to another country, but moving from one foreign country to another, is a far greater exhausting mental experience. Its been 30 months since I left England and the longer I stay away the less I feel the need to return. All I can think about right now is Terracotta warriors, Tiananmen square and the Great Wall of China. However with a 4 day weekend ahead Im going to be hitting the French and British concessions of Shanghai. China is everything that I thought it would be, but its also turning out to have so much more than I could have imagined. Im reading the history books again, but this time as I read, Im standing in the places and around the people the books are describing, no greater context.
